Hello, my name is Alexandra Parchman and let me say this: I
love working at the bakery. I’m on the pastry team, and my job is to get all
the sweet treats prepared and brought down to the Terrier Trader. I love being
in the bakery—I am almost there every day. I would like to own a bakery one day
and this is good practice for me. I am also on the bread team. I come in and
get the old products from the Terrier Trader and put new ones out. I also make
dough for the next team to come in and prepare something else. My last job that
I do in the bakery is the laundry. Our school offers free laundry, so I took
the job of doing it, to save the bakery more money. My favorite treat is the
Chucky Lolas. Oh my god, they are to die for! I love the soft chewy explosion I
get after biting into this wonderful cookie. It has so much in it, like
coconut, pecans, oats, and chocolate chips. This cookie is the best! I enjoy
knowing that my contribution to the bakery is making our bakery stronger.

Who am I?
I
am a well-rounded woman who has faced the many wonders that lie in the Terrier
Bakery kitchen with shaping dough, baking, and sending the finished product to the
Terrier Trader. There is no room to complain or make excuses, for we have
customers waiting upon the arrival of fresh goods.
I was once a baker, but now I’m on the marketing team ready to face any challenge that comes my way. There may be days that are hard to face but as long as I know that there are delicious fresh goods waiting to be eaten, everything is “A-Okay”. The team I’m in establishes relationships with everyone on campus so that you can fall madly in love with our product: you can just call us cupid. We lure our customers in with such confidence and such precision that they can’t help but walk inside the Terrier Trader and buy a few Monkey Muffins or double chocolate melt in-your-mouth cookies. There’s no other way to avoid us because the aromas of fresh product will lurk in your nostrils and you will become addicted. Therefore to know me is to know the Terrier Bakery.

Jacob Luc
Hello!
My name is Jacob Luc, and I am a part of the Terrier Bakery. I’m not in the
bakery very often, but if you need someone to promote an idea or an item
involving the bakery, I’m the guy to come to. I promote all the interesting
news or delicious new products we are developing. You’re probably saying to
yourself “I don’t see any of these promotions around campus”. And you’re
absolutely right. I do all of the promoting through Twitter, so if you want to
see all the news and new products being sold, stop what you’re doing and go
follow the Twitter page @HCTerrierBakery. I’m sure all of the pictures of our
stunning treats will leave your body craving for something that you never tasted
before!Chris Hillier
My name is Chris Hillier, I am currently a football player, and a hard working member of the terrier bakery. I may not be the head baker, but I am a member of the clean up team. Our job is simple, we clean the kitchen up on our designated day every week to make sure our bakers have the cleanest area possible. The day I have to clean up is on Friday, which is also my favorite day of the week. Every time I enter the kitchen I smell that awesome aroma of freshly baked goods. It tickles my nostrils and makes my taste buds tingle. Not only does the smell make me want to eat the food, it brings back memories of my younger years when my dad owned a pizza shop in my hometown. Now granite I wasn’t big enough to cook the pizza, but I was able to cook other things like pasta, wings, and sandwiches. I also cleaned up the shop whenever I was told, but the thing that is most similar about our Terrier Bakery kitchen and my dad’s pizza shop is the oven. The oven in the bakery is the same as the one my dad had in his pizza shop. Having said that, every time I look at that oven it takes me back, making me want to work harder so that one day I can be a member of the baking team.
Christopher Petri
Christopher Petri is the Marketing
Team Leader for the 2014 spring semester. He is a nursing student from Niles,
Ohio. He says that his favorite part about the Terrier Bakery is being able to
work with a great team of individuals to make the business successful. All the
teams have come together to complete the task they have had set before them.
Chris has a strong marketing and relations team that is trying to find the best
way to get the job done. “Being part of a student-run venture has opened my
eyes to the aspects of running a business,” Petri said. Christopher believes creating
advertisements are an important part to making a business successful. Last semester
the marketing team as a whole accomplished a lot of important tasks that helped
to bring money to the bakery. Some of these tasks that he has helped with
include: social media updates, selling cookies during some of the home sporting
events, posting fliers, and working some shifts in the Terrier Trader. He has also created an online Wufoo so orders
that are taken get sent to the right people to get them filled for the
customers.
A priest, a horse, and a writing major walk into a bakery...
My name is James Modzelewski, and I
am a member of the 2014 Terrier Bakery Team. As a creative writing
major, and an amateur digital art enthusiast, I have handled the marketing
team’s flier projects. Designing adverting material for the bakery has surely
been a challenge, but it is a challenge that I have whole-heartedly welcomed.
Although I do not personally handle the preparation of any of our products, it
is a part of my job to advertise the bakery’s products to the campus’s staff
and student body. Awareness is the first step in getting our goods into the
hands (and stomachs) of potential customers. I take the awareness of the
Terrier Bakery brand very seriously, and endeavor to do my part spreading that
awareness.
Writing
is my absolute passion. I have always adored the interpretation and application
of English language. My purpose at Hiram is to hone my writing skills, as well
as expose myself to other talented peers in my desired field. I want to make a
living doing what I love, regardless of how humble that living may be. I try to
pursue a life of simple means, but, regardless, I do indulge in many hobbies.
Gaming, art, and personal blogging are a few of the prominent ones, but the
ways I spend my time are constantly shifting.

The Bakery Veteran
Hello! My name is
Colin, and I am the grizzled, hardened veteran of the Terrier Bakery.
Being back on the field, I've found that I still have what it takes
to cope with any unforeseen event, and apprehend my prey, a
successful bake-off. The fresh-meat needs direction, and I am just
the man who can show them the terrors of the field, and how to break
through. The difficulties of measuring the ingredients, of mixing the
dough, of shaping the dough, of efficiently getting the dough into
the oven, and of getting bread out. There will be mistakes, but the
newbies need to learn that there is no room for panic, only room for
improvisations, and experimentation. There needs to be a synergistic,
mellow veil over the bakery at all times, and jokingly forgiving any
mistakes is enough to keep our troop in high morals. On days when it
feels more like a battlefield , and my troop are frantically and
desperately killing their way through order after order of bread, I
try to wave a flag of peace to bring back the calm shroud of joyous
bread-making.
